With their second anniversary of being Island-owned and operated on the horizon, the time was right for our friends at Fresh Island Grown (FIGR), to do on the branding front, what they’ve been doing operationally since they purchased the company – make it their own!
Their previous branding had served its purpose, but didn’t quite express the “coastal” lifestyle that FIGR knew made them unique.
So when we got the call for a top-down rebrand of Fresh Island Grown, we rolled [up our sleeves], and got to work! Through collaboration with the FIGR team, we leaned into the brand’s local roots. We knew they wanted to highlight the underlying meaning of FIGR as “Fresh Island Grown” and create a brand that truly reflected the product’s place of origin and the dedicated people who produce it.
Together, we developed a new brand that spoke to the spirit of the East Coast! We aimed to strike a balance between the “better every day” culture of FIGR, with the sense of escape, discovery, and relaxation that the East Coast is known for.
Visually, we aimed to make this brand feel authentic and tangible through rich natural coastal imagery, handcrafted scrapbook inspired motifs, and salt-kissed textures that are so prevalent throughout Atlantic Canada.
With the launch of the brand, we also redesigned their entire website, their website, updated their social media profiles, produced a variety of new social media content, developed marketing collateral for in store. In the weeks following the rebrand launch, Fresh Island Grown saw a 19.9% increase in engagement, a 23.6% rise in impressions on Instagram and 1K new visitors to the redesigned website.
